Both fighters are looking for a shot at UFC Light Weight Champion Benson Henderson.
“If Diaz wins, he gets a title shot; if Miller wins, he is probably still a fight or two away,” said UFC president Dana White on Wednesday.
Miller had a seven fight win streak ended by Benson last August.  The defeat didn't slow him dowmuch  last January  he defeated Melvin Guillard.
Diaz is coming off back to back victories beating Takanori Gomi and looked spectacular against Donald"Cowboy" Cerrone.
On the other side
Cotto is looking to cement his legacy as one of the all-time greats.  He wants to do it for Puerto Rico for his family for himself, and wants to put away any doubt that he is haunted by the Ghost of Antonio Margarito.
